Our Mission

Utilizing the unique and therapeutic attributes of the horse, our mission is to serve those with diverse needs, empower change, foster resilience, and nurture whole health through sustainable and innovative programs.

Who We Are

A woman named Gay O’Rourke founded Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center in 1981. As the oldest and largest therapeutic riding center in Southern Colorado, we are also the only Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Premier Accredited center in the area.

We serve an average of 120 clients per week, with the help of 20 horses and 206 volunteers.
