Latigo Trails Equestian Center – Main Location
Thanks to a generous annual donation from the Pikes Peak Range Rider Foundation, Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center’s main location is nestled in the southeast corner of the Latigo Trails Equestrian Center approximately 20 minutes east of Colorado Springs. We have XX acres to allow our therapy horses room to roam and enjoy the occasional bought of horseplay when they are off the clock. Each therapy horse at PPTRC has their own stall to call home each night and during inclement weather.
Therapeutic riding, hippotherapy, and mental health services are available at our Latigo Trails location. The main indoor arena provides space for lessons that is out of the elements during the cold winter months. During summer, program participants enjoy being outdoors in the beautiful Colorado sunshine with our outdoor activity area and sensory trail during lessons.
The rural setting of our Latigo Trails location is a highlight each week for many of our program participants and guardians. Getting away from the hustle and bustle, even if just for an hour, is good for everyone. And, don’t forget to check out the view of Pikes Peak as you gaze across the herd of therapy horses that are helping people find wellness.
Dom Cimino Center at Norris Penrose
Thanks to the partnership of Phil Long Dealerships, PPTRC began offering services at the Dom Cimino Center at Norris Penrose in 2013. This location provides access to mental health services four days each week for agency groups or individuals. The convenience of the Dom Cimino Center at Norris Penrose allows those with travel restrictions the ability to access PPTRC’s services within Colorado Springs city limits. Access to both indoor and outdoor arenas accommodates any sort of weather.
We are graciously allowed to work with individually owned horses that are boarded at the Norris Penrose Event Center boarding facility and which have been vetted by PPTRC’s Equine Manager.
The welcoming offices and quiet weekday atmosphere at the facility make PPTRC’s Dom Cimino Center at Norris Penrose a welcome getaway to the hustle-and-bustle of everyday life.
